RHS Flowershow 2005
This public space – a lively hub for people to meet, stop and chat and, at the same time, an oasis of calm amid the city bustle. A rendered wall encapsulates the main planting area. Raised above the ground, it brings the plants closer to people in the garden and incorporates seating in semi-private bays. For the planting scheme, foliage and flowers give way in the autumn to berries and changing colours, fading in winter to leave a host of evergreen plants.
A Silver Medal was awarded for the garden by the RHS judges.
