This Blackheath garden has been created from scratch from a very neglected plot of land behind the old coach house, and is looking established even though it is only 2 years old. This garden is about reuse (existing sandstone paving was lifted and relaid, rather than replaced; plants transplanted from owners previous garden and allotment; outdoor kitchen built using reclaimed sink, scaffold boards, worktop ), wildlife (pond with newts, frogs, snails, encouraging bees, birds), fruit and vegetable growing, leaving seedbeds and grasses into the winter for beauty/interest and for birds/insects, very much a hands off approach to gardening.
